Summer Swingin'

After four days, 30 bottles of water, tons of sweat, and major patience from three precious children--we have a swingset!!

I don't think I've ever seen this much wood! Mother and I spent a few hours sealing the wood.

Then we put the swing part together!

Chi was trying to be patient, but he thought he would give it a try! Didn't work very well :)

Then came the monkey bars...

Then came the big fort that goes in the middle of the swingset. It was tons of work!!

We had three little helpers!

After we finally finished the fort, it started coming together!

We love when cousins come to visit!!

The first day it was completed, the kids played on it for 4 hours without fighting!!! We thank mom and dad so much for the wonderful gift for the kids. I know it will bring the kids years of fun!

Wayback Whensday....on a Thursday :)

If you know my husband and I, then you know we met at Abilene Christian University. ACU holds a big place in our hearts because it is a place we both love very much! One thing I love about ACU is that they always keep in touch. They send your children things for monumental times in their lives. The first picture, which is my "way back whensday" picture, is Malachi wearing the onesie they sent him when he turned 1. He looks so small and sweet in these picture!

When the mail arrived yesterday, there was a package for Jordenne!

She was so excited to get a package from ACU!

She was even more excited when she realized it was a backpack for kindergarten!

She is SO ready for kindergarten...I just hope her teacher is ready for HER!!!

Happy Birthday, Chi!

Malachi,
I cannot believe that you are already two! I am going to write a post on all of the many things that I love about you...just not today. I am going to spend this day enjoying every second I have with you! I thank God everyday that he chose me to be your Mommy! I pray that Jesus shines through me and teaches you how to walk the walk! I love you more than words can describe!
Love you, Mommy

Way Back Whensday...

I cannot believe it's already Wednesday again!! This is an important Wednesday to me...this is the last Wednesday my baby will be one :( This Saturday, July 11th, Malachi Lavon Cunningham will be two years old! He has brought Tony, Isaak, Jordenne, and I more joy than we ever imagined! He is too funny and has such a cute personality...most of all he LOVES his mommy!!! I will do a post about him being two so I'm not going to share too many pictures...

Wednesday, July 11, 2007, was one of the BEST days of my life!!!

Way Back Whensday...

I've seen many people do this blog on Wednesdays and I think it is a great idea! It makes me stop and thank God for the great things He's blessed me with in life.

So, three years ago in July a friend that I grew up going to church with took my bridal portraits. She did a fabulous job! The best thing about my bridal portraits is that Jordenne got to come do them with me. Tony and I were married on a cruise, so I wanted to get good pictures of Jordy and I before the wedding. She had as much fun as I did! If you know her, you know she is the little diva--always wanting to wear a dress, look in the mirror at herself, and for her Daddy to tell her she looks pretty! It was a HOT day, but what did I expect?!?! July in Texas.

As I look at these pictures (by the way, there are over 100 of them...I chose 3 to share) I realize how blessed I am to have married a man with such precious children. I realize how blessed I am to have a mother/daughter relationship with her. God has done amazing things in my life and choosing me to raise Jordenne is one of the biggest blessings I'll ever receive.

I also noticed how much Malachi looks like Jordenne in these pictures! Do you think so??
